Pumpkin Field Trips at Apple Acres Fall 2007
The cost for this awesome field trip is $6.00 per person, both child and adult, including teacher, picking a pumpkin. $2.50 per adult not picking a pumpkin.
The usual
course of the field trip is listed below. Changes can be made to suit
the attendees special needs. Ask Sam first.
- A tractor drawn wagon ride.
- Each person paying $6.00 chooses a pumpkin from the designated “pumpkin field trip area” of our pumpkin patch. The pumpkin size is about 3 –4 pounds.

Paints and brushes will be available for pumkin painting.
- Everyone will receive a cup of our apple cider and a homemade donut.
- Apple Acres has a marked nature walk for those groups that chose to use it. There are several stopping places with informational signs, a teacher’s handbook is also provided. The walk will take approx. 15 minutes and is generally over level ground, but the footpath is not grated, there are sticks and other small obstacles that make the walk unsuitable for those with walking handicaps.

Raindates - We expect all groups to make reasonable efforts in light rain or mist. Boots and raincoats are not unusual for trips. The final decision is always that of the groups. Apple Acres will try schedule a rain date at the cancellation time.
